In the name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful

All praise is due to Allah The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful, The Almighty, The Restorer, The Giver of blessings. The one who controls the affairs of the world. Oh Allah our Lord, take care of our affairs and keep away from us all harm. You are our lord and You have power over all.

Allah The Most High said in the Noble Quran:  “And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is Taqwa (the state of being aware, alert and on guard against wrongdoing). And have Taqwa of Me, O you of understanding”.  My dear brothers and sisters: have we prepared our provisions, it maybe the time to has neared?  Certainly, Allah has increased the blessings of those who are pious. Allah, The Most High, said in the Noble Quran:  “Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, taking what their Lord has given them.  Indeed, they were before that doers of good.  They used to sleep but little of the night and in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.”

Oh Believers, the best of blessed days for worship have approached so let’s seize them. These days are the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.  The days by the greatness of which, Allah, The Most High, gave an oath in the Holy Quran:  “By the Dawn, and [by] the ten nights”. The prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, informed us of the benefits of these ten days. Jabir ibn Abdillah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him, said:  “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than those ten days.”  They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the path of Allah?”  The Messenger of Allah said: “Not even Jihad in the path of Allah, unless a man were to go out with his life and his wealth and not return from that with anything.”

If one was asked what is the special benefit of these days.  One would reply that the day of Arafat and the day of sacrifice are in these days.  The day of Arafat is one of the main days of the pilgrimage (Hajj).  This great worship shows the greatest of the benefits of these days.  How many of us yearn to make this great pilgrimage, the pilgrimage that unfortunately we are unable to attend this year due to the current Health & Safety restrictions in place because of Covid-19?  We Ask Allah to free us all from the Corona virus, verily he has power over all.

Many of us had very reasonable hopes of performing the great pilgrimage this year.  Although, the current Covid 19 dangers prevented us from performing the Hajj, they do not and cannot deprive us of the great rewards, the benefits, the mercy and the forgiveness from Allah. My dear brothers and sisters let’s together begin to increase our good actions in light of these difficult times which have ravaged the world.  Verily many of your brothers are going through such difficult times that they have not witnessed before.  Oh devotees of Allah, give for the love of Allah and do not be afraid of decrease (in your wealth).  Give generously so that those in need can have the food to break their fasting, aid them in their affairs, relieve their stress and anxiety. Listen to the words of the prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him; Abdallah ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, Said:  “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.  The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger.  That I walk with a brother Muslim over a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque (in Medina) for a month. Whoever suppresses his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could carry it out if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart with contentment on the Day of Resurrection.  Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken and bad character ruins the deeds just as vinegar ruins honey”.

Be devoted to Allah by being brothers.  Allah, The Most High, said “Indeed, the believers are brothers”.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الحمد لله الرحمن الرحيم المنعم المتفضل العزيز الجبار الذي بيده ملكوت السماوات والأرض وبيده الأمر.  اللهم ربنا أصلح لنا شأننا كله واصرف عنا السوء إنك ربنا على كل شيئ قدير.

قال الله تعالى في معرض الحديث عن الحج وفضائله : ( وتزودوا فإن خير الزاد التقوى واتقون يا أولي الألباب )، فهل هيأنا الزاد فلعل السفر قد اقترب ولعله قد أزف الرحيل ولقد وصف الله زاد المتقين ونعيمهم فقال : ( إن المتقين في جنات وعيون آخذين ما آتاهم ربهم إنهم كانوا قبل ذلك محسنين كانوا قليلاً من الليل ما يهجعون وبالأسحار هم يستغفرون وفي أموالهم حق للسائل والمحروم).

19أيها المؤمنون ها هي مواسم الطاعات وأيام البركات قد أظلتنا فلنغتنمها إنها أيام العشر الأوائل من ذي الحجة التي أقسم الله بها لينبه إلى عظيم فضلها فقال تعالى: ( وَالْفَجْرِ وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ ) ولقد أخبر النبي صلوات الله وسلامه عليه عن فضلها فعن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنه، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: أفضل أيام الدنيا أيام العشر، وعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما أن النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ الْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ فِيهِنَّ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ اْلأيَّامِ الْعَشْرِ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! وَلا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ؟! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: وَلا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، إِلا رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ.

ويتساءل أحدنا ما السر في فضل هذه الأيام نجيب فنقول أليس فيها يوم عرفة ويوم النحر الذي هو أحد أيام الحج الأكبر هذا المنسك العظيم ويا لعظيم فضل هذه الأيام، فكم تتوق أنفسنا وتهوى أفئدتنا إلى تلك الديار التي حرمنا منها بسبب الظروف الوقائية الصحية التي فرضتها علينا جائحة كورونا والتي نسأل الله أن يسلم منها عباده وخلقه أجمعين وأن يصرف عنا هذا الوباء إنه على كل شيئ قدير.

ربما كان الكثير منا موعوداً بأداء فريضة الحج لهذا العام إلا أن الظروف حالت دون ذلك ولكننا لن نحرم الأجر والثواب والرحمة والغفران من الملك العلام فهيا إخواني بادروا بالأعمال الصالحة في ظل هذه الظروف الصعبة التي تعصف بالعباد والبلاد فالكثير من إخوانكم تمر بهم أحوال وظروف صعبة لم يشهد لها مثيل فأنفق عبد الله ولا تخشى من ذي العرش إقلالاً.  فاطرد جوعتهم وسد حاجتهم، ونفث كربتهم وفرج همهم وابتغ في ذلك حجك الذي نويته واسمع إلى حديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فعن عبدالله بن عمر رضي الله عنه، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ” أحب الناس إلى الله أنفعهم للناس وأحب الأعمال إلى الله سرور تدخله على مسلم أو تكشف عنه كربة أو تقضي عنه دينا أو تطرد عنه جوعا ولأن أمشي مع أخي المسلم في حاجة أحب إلى من أن أعتكف فى هذا المسجد شهرا ومن كف غضبه ستر الله عورته ومن كظم غيظه ولو شاء أن يمضيه أمضاه ملأ الله قلبه رضا يوم القيامة ومن مشى مع أخيه المسلم فى حاجة حتى تتهيأ له أثبت الله قدمه يوم تزل الأقدام وإن سوء الخلق ليفسد العمل كما يفسد الخل العسل ” .

ألا فكونوا عباد الله إخواناً قال الله تعالى : ( إنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ ).
