7 July 2009 - School Approval Welcome “Fair Go” Well and Alive
The President of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils Mr Ikebal Adam Patel welcomed the Liverpool City Council decision to approve the second campus of Malek Fahd Islamic School at Hoxton Park.
The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils second school in Sydney is to cater for the extensive demand from the community to establish another campus for Malek Fahd Islamic School.
Malek Fahd Islamic School has been the number one school in the Bankstown Education district for a number of years and this new school will also follow the foot steps of all AFIC schools around the country in providing excellence in education.
Mr Patel stated that the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils has been thankful to the Liverpool City Council for their fair assessment of the application and he further added that the School’s presence will provide a very positive input to the residents of the area and to the Liverpool City generally.
Mr Patel added that AFIC regards education as the most important vehicle for positive change, and AFIC is always looking for opportunities to expand its successful involvement in primary and secondary education throughout Australia into other areas. Some means of achieving this is by hosting delegations from overseas as well as establishing relationships with other faiths, for example hosting the pilgrims of the World Youth Day in 2008 in our Sydney school. All Australian Federation of Islamic Council’s schools around the country are committed to being integrated with in the landscape of the local areas of their presence.
